Repco provided all the snags, and a very nicely grassed area for displaying our cars along Canterbury Road.
On display, we had Bruce's HG Monaro, Damian's Gold VP, Kylie's 'one off' Brock VK, Cameron Chiva's VC Race car, Glenn's A9X, Wayne's Blue Meanie, Martin Carabott's very neat VK, and my unpainted VL. The lineup looked very impressive.
It was good also to set up the trailer and tent, chuck on some snags, put the telly on, and show the public what sort of activities we do get involved in. We had a few inquiries from the public regarding getting involved, including the manager of the store. As well as the members with their cars, Repco also had a machine set up where you could test your brakes, shockers and weight distribution.
I was able to put my VL on the machine for the purpose of 'corner weighing' my car. It was a very interesting result, when you factor in the driver (me) into the equation, my car was very well balanced ( unlike the driver). Thanks to Tamara, Frank, and Jeremy Watt as well for also helping out on the day, (although I'm not sure what Jeremie's motor bike has to do with a car display, but it did win the noise competition) and to Franks dog for disposing of all the dropped sausages so the public wouldn't see the mess.
Thank you to everybody who turned up and contributed to the day.
Pete
