David's VK Commodore

I bought it in 2006 as a road registered car and have since spent a fair bit of money turning it into dedicated track car. I fitted a roll cage, race seats and a harness straight away for some extra safety and better handling. I was going to keep the car registered but this was not feasible as you can clearly see the cage and I don’t need the hassle from the police. So far its been a good car and is getting faster each meeting and so has the driver. After blowing an engine at phillip island I fitted another 308 and it is an uknown quantity but so far feels very strong. The car has a lot of room for development in the future as the finances allow.

308, extensive head work, flat tops, crane 286 cam, port matched manifold, extractors, rebuilt quadrajet.

Aussie 4 speed (M21). Soon to be supra 5 spd close ratio.

Salisbury 10 bolt, 3.08 lsd. Soon to be borg warner with mini spool.

VY Commodore, Dunlop Formula R.

Vt twin piston, 300mm discs, ebc race pads. Standard rear disc brakes with ebc race pads.

6 point cage, 5 core radiator, holden dealer team rear spoiler, bonnet scoop. Road hugger custom springs, big bore front strut inserts,
