Greg's Mazda Rx-7 Series II

Bought the Rx-7 in 1991 as my daily driver after my Ford Cortina kept breaking down. Figured I may as well pay $50.00 a week to the bank on a loan rather than spending it on repairing the Sporty Cordy just to get to work. Retired the car from the road in 2002 when the police basically told me to get it off the road immediately. Since then it has done one rally and numerous sprints, motorkhanas, khanacrosses and autocrosses. Have had reasonable results from the car winning two rounds in class B in 2005 in the Victorian Autocross Series and coming second in the other. The car isn’t bad but it doesn’t specialise in any discipline. It has a tendency to oversteer quite severely in high speed turns but is quite good on 2nd gear corners. Power is lacking as it doesn’t have much torque compared to other cars I have driven but generally it is a good fun car that is really reliable. I know it’s a rotary and its reliable, go figure.
